WIN YOUR HOLIDAY FROM CANADIAN DIRECT” OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

The “Win Your Holiday from Canadian Direct” Contest (the “Contest”) is open to Curl BC Club Members and Curl BC Employees residing in British Columbia who have reached the legal age of majority.  No purchase necessary.

HOW TO ENTER
Contest commences at 12:00am PT (Pacific Time) on November 1st, 2011 and closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on March 31st, 2012 (the "Contest Period").

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest. There is one (1) way to enter the Contest: by completing an online entry form at canadiandirect.com/curlbc. 

Eligible entrants will need to provide Canadian Direct Insurance (the “Contest Sponsor” or “Sponsor”) with their name, address, phone number, email address, and one of the following:

(a) a valid Canadian Direct quote number.  To obtain a valid Canadian Direct quote number entrants may call 1.888.225.5234 between November 1st, 2011 and March 31st, 2012 and request a no-obligation quotation for their home or auto insurance; or

(b) their home or auto insurance expiry date.  A representative from Canadian Direct will call them for a no-obligation quote when their insurance is due. 

To enter the Contest, entrants will need a valid email account and online access.  Although online access and a valid email account are required in order to participate in this contest, no purchase of any kind is required. Many public libraries, retail business and others offer free access to computers and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts.

No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, misplaced, misdirected or delayed for any reason whatsoever.  

Limit of one (1) entry per person. All entries must be submitted no later than the end of the Contest Period. Illegible, incomplete, duplicate, or late entries will be disqualified at Canadian Direct’s sole discretion. If it is discovered that any entrant has attempted to: (a) submit more than the permitted number of entries per person/email address; and/or (b) use (or attempt to use) multiple names, identities and/or more than one (1) email address to enter the Contest; then at the sole and absolute discretion of Canadian Direct, he/she may be disqualified from the Contest and all of his/her entries declared void.

ELIGIBILITY
Contest is open to to Curl BC Club Members and Curl BC Employees residing in British Columbia who are the legal age of majority* or over except employees (and members of the immediate families of employees) of Canadian Western Bank Group and their respective affiliates, advertising agencies, the contest judging organization and the supplier of prizes.

*Note: The age of majority is 19 years in British Columbia.

PRIZE
There is only one (1) grand prize available to be won: a Flight Centre gift card valued at $2500.00 CDN.  There is only one (1) early bird prize available to be won: league fees up to $400.00 CDN will be reimbursed for one Curl BC Club Member at any participating Curl BC Club for the 2011-2012 season. The winner will be required to provide Canadian Direct Insurance with a copy of their league fee receipts.

The Prize(s) will be delivered as described above, and other prize specifics to be determined by the Contest Sponsor. Sponsor does not make, nor in any manner is responsible or liable for any representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prize(s). 

Each Prize Winner (“Winner”) is responsible for all expenses associated with acquiring ownership in the Prize including, but not limited to, prize pick up as well all expenses relating to receipt and use of the Prize. All other costs not specifically stated herein as being included in the Prize(s) are the responsibility of the Winner.  The Prize Winner shall not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from the Contest Sponsor.

Upon notification, the Winner(s) will personally take delivery of the Prize at their own expense from Canadian Direct within one (1) month of being declared the winner. Winner(s) must present adequate personal identification to claim the Prize(s). The Prize(s) will not be released unless Winner first shows proof of identification. Failure to show same may result in prize forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.

The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Prize(s) with another prize (including without limitation, but at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award), of equivalent or greater value for any reason whatsoever.

WINNER SELECTION
Limit one (1) entry per person.  Chances of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received by the applicable draw date(s).  A random selection will be made from all eligible entries received for each prize draw. 

The draw deadlines and respective prizes are as follows:

• the draw for the Early Bird Prize will be made on or after February 1st, 2012 from all the eligible single, unduplicated online entries submitted to the Contest by 11:59 p.m. PT Tuesday, January 31st, 2012.

• the draw for the Grand Prize will be made on or after April 1st, 2012 from all the eligible single, unduplicated online entries submitted to the Contest by 11:59 p.m. PT Wednesday, March 31st, 2012.

All decisions of the judges with respect to all aspects of the contest are final.

The selected Prize winner(s) will be notified by phone or email no later than three (3) business days following the draw dates and must confirm receipt of such notice by phone or email within three (3) business days of such notification, failing which he or she will forfeit the Prize and the Prize will be awarded to the next drawn entry as applicable. Canadian Direct is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected winner to receive notification or for Canadian Direct to receive a selected winner's confirmation of receipt of such notification within the time limit set out above.

GENERAL CONDITIONS & INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANTS
Before being declared a Winner the selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited, skill testing, mathematical question posed during a pre-arranged telephone interview or by email. 

Before being declared a Winner the selected entrant will be required to sign a copy of these rules and regulations.  By entering, accepting the prize and signing a copy of these rules, the Winner acknowledges:

(a) compliance with contest rules and acceptance of the prize as offered;

(b) the non-responsibility of Canadian Western Bank and Trust, Canadian Direct, their respective affiliates and agents and the supplier of prizes in respect of injuries, accident, loss or misfortune relating to the prize;

(c) Canadian Direct and their agents’ right to publish or broadcast the winner's picture, name, address, voices and/or statements without further compensation other than the prize offered.

All entries become the property of Canadian Direct and none will be returned. Communication with entrants will be entered into with respect to this Contest to offer no obligation quotes on entrants’ home and or auto insurance.

Prize must be accepted as offered and no substitution is allowed.  Prize is not transferable and is not convertible to cash.  Canadian Direct reserves the right to make substitutions in the event of non-availability of the prize.   

Canadian Direct reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever.

If a selected entrant is unwilling or unable to comply with these contest rules, that entrant will be disqualified and another entry will be drawn from the remaining eligible entries received.

By claiming the prize the selected entrant waives the right to claim any costs of winning any prize including, without limitation, any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem the prize, and bears in full any liability which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize.

The contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations.

Canadian Direct and its agents are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Canadian Direct on account of technical problems, or any combination thereof.
